Inhabited Learning brings the surprise and energy of life experiences that are usually designated as “hobbies” or “pastimes” to bear on workplace learning objectives. Using movies, storytelling, myths, games, materials traditionally classified as “toys”, model-making and art materials, a space is generated for participants to explore insights into personal reflection and social interaction. From this safe springboard, they find new ways to see and understand critical workplace skills like leadership, strategic planning, collaborative teamwork and problem solving. The client organization benefits from employees who discover that recognizing and sharing common living experiences can make problem solving at work more efficient and effective.

The Inhabited Learning experience combines modern media and materials to address the specified goals of an individual or an organization, laying fresh groundwork for cohesive communication using the analogies most people already know and enjoy. It’s not about learning new names for the things you do or don’t do; it’s about learning to recognize what goes on around you and gaining the confidence to participate.

Some personal aspirations and interpersonal competencies are valued across cultures. Inhabited Learning guidance generally focuses on three areas of individual skills development that are regarded as important in most cultures and organizations:  organized thinking, written communication and public speaking. Organizational objectives that are built into all of the seminars include collaboration and teamwork skills.  Custom programs can be designed to emphasize any unique goals an individual or organizational client may have, but each seminar will also include attention to those common targets for improvement.

Typical group seminars require a 2-4 hour time block.

The cost for one 2 hour session is $650.00 and includes:

  • A pre-seminar goal setting conference
  • Activity materials for groups of 10 or less
  • Travel expenses and materials for larger groups are additional
  • Individual clients can be accommodated on an hourly basis either in person or online
